Churchill was established in 1958 as a furniture rental company and was originally owned by a British family.
The Kahan family purchased Churchill from its previous owners. At the time, Churchill Furniture Rental, Inc. was a $3,500,000 company with a single showroom located on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
Yudel Kahan became the president of Churchill and opened the corporate housing division, as well as two additional furniture showrooms in Northern and Central New Jersey. Churchill grew to a $6,500,000 company as the result from expansion.
Churchill created a large national network and strong relationships with the largest building communities. Thousands of executives were successfully placed in best choice apartments, earning high recognition from fortune 500/1000 companies.
Churchill opened a new 16,000 sq. ft. showroom in New York City’s Flatiron District.
Churchill Corporate Services expanded its services and was renamed Churchill Living, offering furnished apartments, furniture rental, and travel services. Churchill has 5 furniture showrooms along the east coast.
Churchill became a $76,000,000 company and the largest corporate supplier on the east coast having over 1,800 furnished apartments, all furnished and managed with its own furniture and with its own staff. Churchill employs 285 employees.
